The group received an inside look at the manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes behind some of the most respected compressors in the ammonia refrigeration industry. Students were able to observe compressors in various stages of production, inspect vessel construction, examine modern control systems, and discuss maintenance best practices directly with industry professionals.

One of the highlights of the visit was the compressor teardown and inspection activities, allowing attendees to see internal components that many operators only read about in textbooks. From rotor assemblies and lubrication systems to pressure vessels and separator internals, participants gained a deeper understanding of how these systems function and what it takes to maintain them safely and efficiently.

Experiences like these help bridge the gap between theory and practice. Seeing equipment up close, asking questions, and interacting with the experts who design and build these systems provides a level of education that simply cannot be replicated in a traditional classroom setting.
