Iowa Industrial Refrigeration Training
The ARTS Industrial Refrigeration Training team recently completed an engaging hands-on training program in Iowa, combining classroom instruction with real-world field application inside a modern ammonia refrigeration facility. Students worked directly with industrial refrigeration equipment, identified system components, traced piping, reviewed compressor operation, and practiced system drawing and equipment identification exercises. The training emphasized safe operations, system understanding, troubleshooting fundamentals, and practical knowledge that operators and technicians can immediately apply in their facilities. Through a combination of classroom discussion, engine room walkthroughs, and field exercises, participants gained valuable experience building confidence in the operation, maintenance, and safety of industrial ammonia refrigeration systems. At ARTS, our mission remains simple: provide practical, real-world training that helps refrigeration professionals improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and overall system performance while keeping it in the pipes
