Introduction to Ammonia Refrigeration
Introduction to Ammonia Refrigeration training. The future of industrial refrigeration starts with a strong foundation. This week in Covington, Tennessee, a dedicated group of operators, mechanics, and industry professionals came together for our Introduction to NH3 Refrigeration training program. Throughout the class, students focused on the fundamentals of ammonia refrigeration, including system components, safety awareness, operating principles, terminology, and the real-world applications that keep facilities running safely and efficiently.
One of the most impactful portions of the training was reviewing historical refrigeration incidents and discussing the lessons learned that continue to shape our industry’s commitment to safety today. Understanding where the industry has been helps prepare the next generation of refrigeration professionals for where it is going. The class also had the opportunity to spend time inside the engine room, connecting classroom concepts to actual operating equipment. Seeing vessels, piping, compressors, valves, and safety systems firsthand helps bridge the gap between theory and practical application. Thank you to everyone who attended and invested in expanding their knowledge of NH3 refrigeration. The professionalism, engagement, and willingness to learn shown throughout the week are exactly what strengthen the future of our industry.
