Refrigeration Technician · Operate, maintain, adjust, inspect, and calibrate all refrigeration system safeguards to support requirements per manufacturer specifications, including the refrigerant leak detection system. · Complete and evaluate daily logs pertaining to the temperature, pressure, and general operation of the refrigeration system – report fluctuations. · Perform preventative, predictive maintenance and repair as instructed by leadership on compressors, motors condensers, evaporators, pumps, vessels, valves, purger, and other machinery within the refrigeration system. · Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues on refrigeration equipment. · Help maintain water treatment system and chemical controls for the evaporative condenser per manufacturer specifications. Measure samples of oil, water, and glycol in accordance with operating guidelines. · Complete work order tasks and ensure all performed work is logged daily. · Maintain reporting of inspections, evaluations, preventive maintenance procedures and communicate all pertinent information regarding equipment operation and maintenance to leadership daily. ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Help monitor contractors working on or near refrigeration systems, ensuring they are following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. · Utilize onsite motorized lifting equipment as needed while operating, inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining equipment. · Miscellaneous opportunities include: marketing, regulatory compliance writing. · Rotating on-call schedule with advance notification of longer periods are needed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES) · 5 to 7+ years, nh3 industrial refrigeration experience, preferred. · Basic electrical instrumentation experience. · Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. G-Suite. TeamViewer. · Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and deliver technical results to a non-technical audience. · Problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills. · Ability to work in temperatures as low as -25 Fahrenheit in cold storage wearing personal protective equipment and freezer gear. Plus · Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. weight may be more dependent upon facility. · Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends as needed. · Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, will be loud.
